Does a concept exist? yes
What is its goal? The goal is to show the coat and who said it, but they are separate.
Is the goal being met by the design? Yes
Is the concept worthwhile? Will the viewer care? Yes, the type works in a interesting way with the image that they are both important
Is it clear what I'm viewing? yes
Will I understand what you're trying to convey? yes
Is it clear what I can do here, if anything? You don't really interact with it so yes.
What are the design’s visual priorities?
The priority is put on the image first and the quote second.
What elements do you consider foreground? Background?
Type is foreground image is backgroundHow will the design accommodate variability in browser width? All three of the designs have the type move so what will happen in-between these two sizes?
Is the design beautiful/striking/remarkable? The first one could use a little work but the other two are really good!
Does the design aesthetic relate to the concept? The images are not directly related to the quotes but it still works. The first one could maybe be changed.
Is the aesthetic driving the concept, or vice-versa? The quote is driving the concept and gives the image meaning.
Are type size/color/face/treatment choices helping or hurting? I think the color of the type works in the second and third one but the change in color in the first one seems unnecessary.
