Irina's Mockup
Concept
- The images and quotes used in all of the postcards convey a sense of fun self-awareness.
- The quotes convey relatable sentiments and are from a well-known and liked character.
Communication
- The content is clear and straightforward.
Structure
- The current design is placing almost equal emphasis on the text and image.
- In the first postcard, it may be beneficial to shorten the quote, if possible, as the text is somewhat hard to read at a smaller scale.
- In the first and third postcards, the text is coming to the foreground more so than in the second because of its scale relative to Carrie's body.
- I think that when the postcards are scaled to fit the entire viewport, the text may be a little large, so you could consier what the design will look like at that size.
Aesthetic
- I'm really enjoying the colors used throughout the set, especially in the last two, because I feel they reflect well on the spirit of the quotes.
- The final postcard is the only place where you've used a solid color field - I would probably choose to do it or not and make it consistent across all the cards.
- The concept and aesthetic are working really well together in the last two postcards. I'm wondering whether choosing a different image with lighter colors for the first postcard would
tie your set together better (though that may mean choosing another quote).
Execution
- I really like the typeface you've chosen - the humanist qualities fit perfectly with your concept.
- You may need to increase the resolution of the images, so that they don't get grainy once they're displayed full screen.
- The crops are working well/all edges are well-considered.
- It seems like there is enough space in your images to accomodate shifting line lengths, etc. when the browers environment changes.
