Live fast, die young, bad girls do it well Live fast, die young, bad girls do it well Live fast, die young, bad girls do it well Live fast, die young, bad girls do it well
My chain hits my chest when I'm banging on the dashboard My chain hits my chest when I'm banging on the radio
Get back, get down Pull me closer if you think you can hang Hands up, hands tied Don't go screaming if I blow you with a bang
Suki Suki I'm coming in the Cherokee gasoline There's steam on the window screen Take it, take it Wheels bouncing like a trampoline When I get to where I'm going, gonna have you trembling
Live fast, die young, bad girls do it well Live fast, die young, bad girls do it well Live fast, die young, bad girls do it well Live fast, die young, bad girls do it well
My chain hits my chest when I'm banging on the dashboard My chain hits my chest when I'm banging on the radio
Yeah back it, back it Yeah pull up to the bumper game read the signal Cover me, cause I'm changing lanes I had a handle on it My life, but I broke it When I get to where I'm going Gonna have you saying it
Live fast, die young, bad girls do it well Live fast, die young, bad girls do it well Live fast, die young, bad girls do it well Live fast, die young, bad girls do it well My chain hits my chest when I'm banging on the dashboard My chain hits my chest when I'm banging on the radio
Get back, get down Pull me closer if you think you can hang Hands up, hands tied Don't go screaming if I blow you with a bang
Going nought to bitch I'll see four million Accelerating fast I can do this in a second Lookin' in the rear view, swaggin' goin' swell Leavin' boys behind 'cause it's illegal just to kill Shift gear, automatic, damned if I do Who's gonna stop me when I'm coming through? What we got left is just me and you But if I go to bed, baby, can I take you?
Get back, get down Pull me closer if you think you can hang Hands up, hands tied Don't go screaming if I blow you with a bang
Live fast, die young, bad girls do it well Live fast, die young, bad girls do it well Live fast, die young, bad girls do it well Live fast, die young, bad girls do it well
My chain hits my chest when I'm banging on the dashboard My chain hits my chest when I'm banging on the radio
"Bad Girls" is a song by British recording artist M.I.A. for her fourth studio album, Matangi (2013). The song is written by Maya "M.I.A." Arulpragasam, Marcella Araica and Floyd Nathaniel "Danja" Hills, and produced by Danja. The song, her first release following her departure from XL Recordings in 2011, was self-released worldwide under exclusive license to Interscope Records in the US on 31 January 2012.
A shorter version of the song appeared on Vicki Leekx (2010), a free online mixtape on 31 December 2010. "Bad Girls" was released as a digital download a day after its world premiere on radio and online. The track is a midtempo dancehall song with Middle Eastern influences and exhibiting elements of worldbeat and syncopated drums in its instrumentation. The song's lyrics revolve around sexual prowess and female empowerment, while its chorus features the refrain "Live fast die young, bad girls do it well" sung in a haughty rap-sung delivery.
The song received positive reviews from contemporary critics, who lauded it as a highlight from the mixtape and commended its hook and lyrics on its final version as containing hallmarks of her previous songs including "Paper Planes" (2007) and "XXXO" (2010).
-From WikipediaVicki Leekx is a mixtape by British recording artist M.I.A. which was released on 31 December 2010. The material included reworked tracks and out-takes from Maya, with previously unreleased material. Some of the tracks, including "Let Me Hump You" and "Gen-N-E-Y", had been made available by M.I.A. earlier in the year at a series of bespoke website addresses. The tracks "Meds and Feds" and "Steppin' Up" from Maya appear in radically altered forms, including the removal of the heavy guitar played by Derek E. Miller of the group Sleigh Bells on the original version of the former.
A number of reviewers made a connection between the mixtape's title and the 2010 Wikileaks controversy. Although the mix opens with a quote about the leaking of information and subsequent legal and political attacks from Julian Assange, founder of Wikileaks, delivered by a female voice, much of the content is not related to the controversy or politically themed. Musically, the mixtape is less abrasive in style than the industrial-influenced Maya, but the lyrics contain a number of attacks on "imitators, haters, and [...] psychos" and "bitches who are fame hoes".
The female voice heard at the start, identified by reviewers as the "title character", returns sporadically during the mix speaking internet slogans. At different points the music incorporates heavy percussion, Auto-Tuned vocals, and "bhangra-style" sounds similar to those heard on her second studio album Kala. Most of the mix is at a high tempo, although it slows towards the end, where the longest sections are found.
