Concept
Yes, there is a theme of presenting a famous thinker (logician, writer, and novelist) simply and clearly by a portrait with text underneath. The goal of the images seems to be simplicity and clarity. The concept could be further clarified by presenting images of the men doing their professions. Kurt Godel and Don Delillo relate back to being a logician and novelist, but Dan Harmon's prfession is unclear. I think the deigns could relate to eachother more effectively by creating a more coheriant color sceme. I also think the type could follow a similar grid plan for all, instead of the leading for the famous persons name changing.
Overall concept: connect images together through a consistant theme. You already are close, but I think a consistant color palette would advance this.
Communication
I personally find the quotes and images not entirely conencting to eachother. I find a serious atmosphere created with the black box holding the text, which is not fully realized through the quotes.
Structure
Design wise I find the image quality not the strongest. Personally I find the text fitting too tighly to the top of the black box. I think it could go doen in size and weight. The transition between images would benifit with more spacing. Do you need the black box? I personally think it works well for the fist image and relates better than with the other two, which appear more colorful and playful.
Creation
How will the design accommodate variability in browser width? I would suggest you change the code so the image in the desktop resizes with the brower window. The phone size seems large?
Aesthetic
The aesthetic could be unified together stronger. I would suggested trying different iamges of the men or photoshopping them to create more unity. or atleast better image resolution for Kurt Godel. The text should follow a uniformed plan with consistancy? The blaxk back seems to be the only thing connecting the images at this point.
