My partner was Amanda Reiter, and together we decided on three main points of improvement from the
original mockup that embodied the concept of loneliness and detachment: a different background image,
a different color scheme, and a more readable typeface. She suggested I try to convey a darker tone with
the colors and background image to match the tone of the song. We agreed upon a color palette in the
range of blacks and reds and I decided upon an image of Julian Casablancas, the lead singer of The Strokes
and the brains behind the song. His performances always seem so possessed and this image of him was
striking, so I edited the original image and changed the typeface to better match the mood.
