  1. I hope to learn sufficient coding to create, maintain, and customize websites of my own for personal and professional use, primiarily to display my portfolio online. I also look forward to learning how to incorporate more user-friendly elements in all my work, particularly my image-making and designs made for the screen.

Designing for paper requires more consideration of how the eye interacts with the image, but with the screen there must be ways for a user to navigate and understand the material presented in an efficient, well-designed way.

  5. This website here has one purpose: to show the distance from Earth to Mars, and to show the distance in a way that is comprehensible. The concept is simple but it works very well, using pixels and a sleek, pleasant animation to really bring it to life. It's easy and accessible and plays up a good concept.
